Seth Cowgill, son of William and Elizabeth (Foulds) Cowgill, b 1868, Saltaire, m 3 Apr 1893, Bradford, Mary Sugden, b 1870, Bradford, d 1946. Seth and family emigrated to the US in 1904/1905 on the "Ivernia" and "Cymric". Seth listed as a fish and potato fryer in Bradford in 1901; he was a textile mill worker in Lowell, MA. George Henry Cowgill, son of Sarah Ann Cowgill and (presumed) Wilfred Preston, b 5 Jun 1887, Earby, d 25 Nov 1960, m 14 Jun 1910, Earby, Clara Nutter, b 23 Jul 1884, England, d 3 May 1952, dau of George Nutter. George is listed on the 1920 to 1940 censuses in Wayne Co., MI. He and Clara arrived Nova Scotia 1 Dec 1910 aboard the “Victorian”; they immigrated to the US in 1914. He claimed on his World War I registration (Jun 1917) to be supporting his father (not named, and not with him on the 1920 census). On the 1940 census George is shown with a son Richard b ca 1916, OH, daughter-in-law Violet (as Voilet), and son (must be mistake for grandson) George age 1, b MI. Who was he? George Henry is a distant cousin of Seth Cowgill (both are descendents of the Joseph Cowgill bapt 22 Jul 1722), so his forbears are also on Robert Cowgill's page.

Richard Cowgill, son of Levi and Ann (Berry) Cowgill, b 20 Jan 1869, d 1930s, m 1889, Burnley Civil District, Elizabeth Henwood, b 17 Sep 1867, St Ives, Cornwall, dau of James and Mary Jane Henwood. Richard and Elizabeth emigrated to the US in 1893 (naturalized 29 Oct 1901). He was a textile mill worker in Pawtucket, Providence, and later (1920) in Avon, MA. Richard is a (very distant) cousin of Seth Cowgill (both are descendents of William Cowgill of Thornton in Craven, bur 7 Nov 1734), so his forbears are also on Robert Cowgill's page.
